They work constantly in challenging and difficult circumstances to give every patient and relative the best support they can. I remain so grateful to the staff at The Christie in Manchester, St. Luke’s Hospice, and the Manchester Maggie’s centre. I asked a nurse once while I was undergoing chemo what I could do to express my gratitude. She said that something like a card, or a letter naming someone who had gone above and beyond, was worth its weight in gold.
